                         Education

We create consumer awareness by educating audiences using a global perspective and locally relevant educational materials. We provide practical tips to schools, clubs and businesses to drive for a behavioral change.

Schools

We aim to focus on educating our next generation on the pressing problem of plastic pollution.
This includes motivating them to take action, make habit changes,
 and influence their peers
and family.  Through this process we hope to inspire them to find
solutions to the problem by launching innovative projects and inventions in the future.

Based on each school’s schedule and needs, we arrange educational screenings, conduct presentations, Q & A sessions, workshops and provide lesson plans or expert panel discussions to local and international schools in Hong Kong.

Since January 2018, we have helped educate more than 5,000 pupils on the subject of single use plastics.

Schools we have reached include - Maryknoll Convent School, Hong Kong International School, Diocesan Boys’ School Primary Division, Chinese International School, St. Paul’s Co-educational College primary school, Renaissance College, Victoria Shanghai Academy, Marymount Secondary School, Braemer Hill Nursery School, Victoria kindergarten.

We believe that children are a lot more open to change and they can, in turn, educate their parents on the single use plastic problem.

In order to book a screening at your school, please email us at info@ecodrivehk.com

Documentary Screening

We provide two documentaries for screening which focus on revealing single use plastic issues to the audience.  Content includes how does it affect us and what we can do about it.

A Plastic Ocean film

An award winning documentary which exposes the threat of plastics to our ocean and environment and how marine life and animals are dying because of plastic in the ocean. There is a 3 mins trailer, a 22 min version for schools and also a 90 min version for general audience.

Start Small Start Now

An 18 minute documentary that looks at the subject through a local Hong Kong lens. EcoDrive has partnered with filmmaker Photo Escapes to tell the story of our hometown, Hong Kong, and gives useful tips on how locals can rethink, refuse, reduce and reuse single use plastics.

Plastic Pollution Presentation

After the screening, our trainer will conduct a presentation on facts about the plastic pollution problem ( eg. how many tonnes of plastics are dumped to our landfill everyday; micro plastics have been found in samples of fish in HK; the facts and myth about recycling and the low percentage of items being recycled in HK etc) and what  actions we can collectively take to make changes

Q&A Session

After the screening and presentation, our trainer can conduct a Q&A session which discusses how the plastic problem relates to the everyday lives of the audience and suggest ways in which they can make a difference. Questions such as "how many single use plastic do you use per day?  Can you think of any way to reduce the usage? "will help them understand the plastic pollution issue is happening around them every day and how they can make a difference.

Expert Panel Discussions

EcoDrive encourages behavioral changes by educating and providing practical tips and expert advice on how to reduce single use plastics. We invite experts in the sustainability field, individuals who have inspired changes and industry leaders who have taken up an eco-approach in businesses to share their experiences, challenges and practical solutions on taking actions and making changes.
